Boot comment: why not pick it up and take to the surface for forensic testing. Perhaps it is marked with an owner with a permanent pen or has a serial number. Or has a size. Or fibers. Or fingerprints.
Not saying that they will find any of these and of course lying on the bottom of the sea for a year hasn't been great for preserving things. (Although the Baltic has anoxic deep regions, so it's not the worst challenge either.)
It seems bizarre that nobody has picked this up and tested it, even, just to try, to see what you find. If this were a J6 protester, I'm sure the FBI would have Jodi Foster analyzing it. (Unless it was an agent provocateur.)
Again, I don't know that they get any info, but not even checking seems bizarre. As if they don't want to look too hard!
