Once this pipe had ruptured, the remaining pipes would probably be inspected to ensure that there was no risk of further leaks. This process would have revealed the explosives planted on the Nord Stream 1 pipes. I don't have a good explanation to why the first bomb exploded 17 hours before the four other bombs. If it was timers, I'd assume they at least attempted to set them to the same time. So maybe a mistake. Or, if they were triggered with sonar signals, as Sy Hersh says, it could be that the southern bomb picked up the signal first, and they then had to drop another sonar buoy for the Northern. I think the southern bomb was placed about 200 meters North of the place where pipelaying resumed in 2021 with Russian ship Akademik Chierski. Now when you ask, I recall there was an attempt to spin a narrative that there was a weakness at this point, and it spontaneously ruptured for that reason. Maybe the place was selected in order to facilitate that narrative. If it was Andromeda, the place would make geographical sense on the return from Kolberg to Wiek on Sept 20 since it was on the way.
